Water-soaked spots on leaves, stems and fruit that turn brown or black. Bacterial ooze in humid weather. Cankers on stems, wilting of shoots.

How to treat Bacterial Disease

Apply copper bactericides preventatively, especially in wet weather. Remove infected plant material. Avoid working with plants when wet. Use resistant varieties where available.
